Tour Plan

Day 1 Muscat Introduction, Half-Day Tour

We will begin our journey by visiting few of the most iconic spots in Omani capital, with an afternoon on the beach followed by a dinner in one of the best restaurants in the city.

Royal Opera House (1 hr)

The Royal Opera House Muscat offers a stunning blend of traditional Omani architecture and world-class modern facilities, providing a sophisticated and culturally rich venue for diverse performing arts experiences, from opera and ballet to concerts and theatrical productions.

Mutrah Souq and Fort (1 hr)

Historic part of Muscat is separated from the rest of the city by a range of coastal rocky hills. Mutrah Souq and Fort in old Muscat, offer a captivating journey through time, where the bustling marketplace attracts with vibrant stalls selling traditional goods, and the neighboring fort, perched on a hill, provides panoramic views of the harbor and surrounding city.

Al Alam Palace (30 min)

Al Alam Palace in Muscat, Oman, is a ceremonial residence known for its striking blend of Islamic and contemporary architecture. The 200-year old palace is surrounded by the scenic square, offering a picturesque view of the forts. Stopping by this square provides a brief yet engaging experience into Oman’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.

Qurm Beach Sunset Time (1 hr)

Your first breathtaking sunset in Oman will be at Qurm Beach, with a mesmerizing atmosphere. You could have refreshing swim in the tranquil waters of this popular beach, or relax with a cup of coffee at a nearby cafe enjoying the beauty of the early evening.

Before our first day ends, we will taste culinary delights at one of Oman’s finest restaurants, before heading to our seaside guest house.

Day 2 Lake Dayqah, Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole Excursion

Wadi Dayqah Lake (2 hrs)

Nestled between rugged mountains, Wadi Dayqah boasts breathtaking scenery with its towering cliffs and emerald pools. We have chosen this ideal spot for start of our day, having a picnic, surrounded by the serenity of nature. We will do kayaking along the winding waters which offer a beautiful way to explore this stunning landscape.

Bimmah Sinkhole (1 hr)

Bimmah Sinkhole stands out for its unique geological formation, presenting a captivating natural wonder in Oman. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, this sinkhole boasts a striking turquoise pool at its base, offering visitors a surreal and picturesque setting for swimming and relaxation. Its sheer beauty, coupled with its geological significance, makes Bimmack Sinkhole a distinctive and memorable destination.

Wadi Shab (3 hrs)

Wadi Shab has stunning combination of turquoise pools, lush palm-filled canyons, and hidden caves, creating an oasis of natural beauty in the Omani landscape.

Fins Beach (40 min)

As the sun sets below the horizon, we gather at Fins Beach, where the sound of waves against the shore sets the scene for an unforgettable evening. We set up a barbecue spot on the beach and relax under the clear sky. After the dinner, we move to our cozy tents pitched nearby, completing our perfect day by the sea.

Day 3 Two Azure Retreats: Fins Beach with Wadi Tiwi

06:30 AM Fins Beach (2.5 hrs)

Morning at Fins Beach. Serene landscape, with calm waves rolling onto the shore, surrounded by untouched nature. Fins offers a peaceful escape from the hustle of daily life, inviting us to connect with the beauty of the surroundings. We set up breakfast, having fruits, pastries, and coffee / tea on a blanket on the sand. After a meal, we take a refreshing dip in the clear sea, enjoying the tranquility of the early hours.

09:00 AM Wadi Tiwi and Mibam Waterfall (2 hrs)

Wadi Tiwi, nestled between the hills of Oman, is known for its emerald-green pools and lush palm decorated cliffs, offering a picturesque oasis in the desert landscape. Mibam Waterfall, a hidden gem within Wadi Tiwi, flows over rugged rocks, creating a serene ambiance in the tranquility of nature. Our retreat to this breathtaking place includes a swim in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by fascinating nature. We will enjoy the beauty of Wadi Tiwi and Mibam Waterfall for about two hours, before we continue our day.

12:00 AM Ruins of Qalhat (30-40 min)

We will made a quick stop at the ruins of Qalhat, an ancient city along Oman’s coast, known for its maritime trade and listed by UNESCO. The crumbling walls and structures hinted at its former glory, offer a glimpse into its rich history. Despite the brief visit, the echoes of Qalhat’s past will leave a lasting impression on us.

13:30 AM City of Sur with its Shipyard (2 hrs)

Sur, a coastal city in Oman, is famous for its maritime heritage and bustling shipyards. The city’s main features include its traditional dhow shipbuilding industry and picturesque seafront promenade. During our visit to the shipyard, we will witness skilled craftsmen constructing wooden vessels using ancient techniques passed down through generations. Sur’s maritime culture and vibrant atmosphere provide a fascinating glimpse into Oman’s maritime history.

17:00 AM Ras al Hadd

Ras al Hadd is a tranquil beach town where we’ll conclude our day, staying in seaside chalets. The town offers a serene coastal atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze. Our chalets provide a comfortable retreat, allowing us to relax and take in the sounds of the sea as the day comes to an end.

Day 4 Sea Turtles and Desert Roads

04:30 AM Turtle Beach (2 hrs)

Turtle Beach at Ras al Jinz is known for its nesting turtles, offering a unique opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. During our early morning visit, we will observe the turtles as they came ashore to lay their eggs, a remarkable spectacle of nature. The experience will leave us in awe of the delicate balance of life on the beach and the importance of preserving these habitats.

06:30 AM Turtle Museum (40 min)

Turtle Museum in Ras al Jinz offer insights into conservation efforts and the life cycle of sea turtles. After our visit, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast at the same compound, savoring local flavors while reflecting on our experience with these fascinating creatures. The museum will provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of protecting the turtles and their habitat.

09:00 AM Pink Lakes (1 hr)

During our visit to the pink lakes near Ras al Jinz, we will witness the stunning natural phenomenon of lakes tinted with a rosy hue due to the presence of algae and microorganisms. As we explore the area, we’ll be surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with the vibrant pink lakes contrasting against the desert landscape.

11:00 AM Ras Al Hadd Beaches and Lunch Break in Bidiyah (2 hrs)

At various viewpoints along the coastline by Ras Al Hadd beaches, we will pause to take in the panoramic vistas of the Arabian Sea stretching to the horizon. From these vantage points, we’ll marvel at the rugged cliffs, pristine beaches, and azure waters, enjoying the coastal scenery. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we’ll continue our journey to Bidiyah town, where we’ll enjoy a lunch break, tasting local cuisine between the desert ambiance before continuing our adventure into the golden sands.

1:00 PM Wahiba Desert (3 hrs)

In the slow afternoon amidst the Wahiba Desert, we’ll take our time to relax, enjoying a cup of coffee while soaking in the serenity of the vast dunes. As the sun begins to descend, we’ll set up our tents, creating a cozy retreat around the golden sands. With the evening approaching, we’ll gather around a bonfire, preparing a delicious barbecue under the desert sky, sharing stories and laughter in the tranquility of the desert night.

Day 5 Golden Sands of Wahiba Desert with Wadi Bani Khalid

Wahiba Sands (1 hr)

Following a night spent sleeping in the desert, waking up in the Wahiba Desert is a serene and picturesque experience, especially as the sun rises over the dunes, casting golden shadows across the landscape. Early morning light creates perfect conditions for capturing stunning photos of the sand dunes, with shadows playing on the ridges. Experience will be completed with delightful cup of coffee and breakfast, in a tranquil environment, surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the desert. Optional adventures include camel rides or off-roading on the dunes with either our cars or ATV vehicles.

Wahiba desert stands out with its unique combination of geological wonders, cultural significance, and the ability of life to adapt to its environment. This visually captivating place is a perfect start of our second day.

Wadi Bani Khalid (2 hrs)

Wadi Bani Khalid, a breathtaking oasis nestled in the heart of Oman. It is a true testament to nature’s art. Crystal-clear emerald pools surrounded by rugged canyon walls create a serene retreat, inviting travelers to soak in the postcard beauty that defines this hidden gem.

As the sun casts a warm glow over the vibrant landscapes, the wadi reveals its attraction through inviting turquoise waters, lush greenery, and secluded caves, providing a picture-perfect backdrop for moments of reflection and connection. Wadi Bani Khalid, with its serene ambiance and natural splendor, serves as the ultimate punctuation mark to our adventure—an oasis of rebirth and wonder, marked in the memories of those fortunate enough to experience its charm.

Day 6 Snorkeling, Diving and Dolphing Watching

As the day begins, we embark on a thrilling boat trip from Muscat to the enchanting Dimaniyat Islands, renowned for their stunning coral reefs and vibrant marine life. Snorkeling enthusiasts can take the opportunity to explore the crystal-clear waters, marveling at the colors beneath the surface. For certified divers, the underwater world offers a chance to go deeper into the mysterious depths and encounter exotic species up close.

After a morning of aquatic adventures, we set sail once again, this time in search of playful dolphins frolicking in the azure waters. We scan the horizon with bincaulars, anticipating the sight of these amazing creatures diving alongside our boat. After the ride, we will have a beach picnic and relaxing swim.

Day 7 The Highest Mountain of Arabia

Jebel Shams – The Highest Mountain on Arabian Peninsula (full day)

We start our day early with a hearty breakfast to fuel our hike to Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak. As we hit the trail, we carry light snacks and plenty of water for the journey. Along the way, we pause for a refreshing cup of coffee at a scenic spot, taking in the panoramic views of the rugged landscape.

The hike takes us through rocky terrain and winding paths, with each step bringing us closer to the ancient village perched on the mountainside. We take our time exploring the village, admiring its traditional architecture and soaking in the rich history of the area.

Continuing our ascent, we push onward to reach the stunning lake nestled amidst the peaks. The tranquil waters provide a perfect spot for a well-deserved rest and a peaceful moment of reflection.

After enjoying the serenity of the lake, we retrace our steps back to the starting point, savoring the memories of a day spent amidst the breathtaking beauty of Jebel Shams.
