Our city tour starts with a visit to the most famous landmark of the capital. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, is a magnificent architectural marvel adorned with intricate designs, a colossal chandelier, and one of the world’s largest hand-woven carpets, providing a serene and inspiring experience for visitors.

10:45 AM             Qurm Beach (1 hr)

Qurm Beach in is one of the most stunning along the Arabian Sea, featuring a well-maintained corniche surrounded by palm trees and landscaped gardens. The beach offers opportunities for walking and swimming in the calm waters. 12:00 PM             Bait Al Zubair Museum (1 hr)

This is the most visited museum in the country, which offers a captivating journey through the country’s rich cultural heritage, showcasing a diverse collection of artifacts, traditional Omani costumes, and historical exhibits, providing insight into the nation’s history and traditions. It’s spread across four traditional houses, which are a true delight to those interested in Oman’s rich culture.

Historic part of Muscat is separated from the rest of the city by a range of coastal rocky hills. Mutrah Souq and Fort in old Muscat, offer a captivating journey through time, where the bustling marketplace attracts with vibrant stalls selling traditional goods, and the neighboring fort, perched on a hill, provides panoramic views of the harbor and surrounding city.

15:00 PM             Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts (30 min)

Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts have significant historical importance as defensive structures guarding the entrance to the city’s harbor. Built during the Portuguese colonial era in the 16th century, these forts played a crucial role in protecting Muscat from the invasions.

15:40 PM             Al Alam Palace (40 min)

Al Alam Palace in Muscat, Oman, is a ceremonial residence known for its striking blend of Islamic and contemporary architecture. The 200-year old palace is surrounded by the scenic square, offering a picturesque view of the forts. 16:40 PM             Dining at the Castle (1 – 1.5 hrs)

We finish our day tour with dining in a the most authentic place in Muscat – Rozna restaurant. It is situated inside the huge castle, surrounded with fountains, lighting and spacious layout. They offer various types of typical Omani food, but also plenty of other types of food from different Arab countries, with many options to satisfy everyone with different dietary preferences.
