Journey through Oman’s natural wonders, begins with the mesmerizing Bimmah Sinkhole and the picturesque Wadi Shab. We continue through historical ruins of Qalhat town, explore the coastal charm of Sur, and wrap up our adventure with a night under the desert stars during an exciting camping experience. After the sunrise in the dunes, we continue to breathtaking Wadi Bani Khalid, where crystal-clear pools and scenic landscapes create a perfect finale to this diverse and captivating exploration.

Day 01: Bimmah Sinkhole & Wadi Shab

Bimmah Sinkhole stands out for its remarkable geological formation—a collapsed underground cavern exposing a stunning turquoise pool.

In contrast, Wadi Shab brings you to an extraordinary experience for its lush canyon scenery, offering a unique adventure with a scenic hike, emerald pools, and a hidden cave with a waterfall — a distinctive combination of geological wonders and natural beauty that makes both sites exceptional in Oman’s diverse landscape.

Qalhat Ruins and Town of Sur

On our way towards the desert, our journey will include two captivating detours to explore two coastal treasures of Oman, Qalhat and Sur.  Qalhat ancient ruins are inscribed on UNESCO list, notably the Bibi Maryam Mausoleum, reflecting the historical significance of this once-thriving port city on the trade route. Sur, on the other hand, stands out for its traditional dhow shipbuilding industry, offering a glimpse into Oman’s maritime legacy.

Camping in Wahiba Desert

As the sun sets below the horizon, we find a quiet spot in Wahiba desert to set up our camps under the evening sky. This desert provides a unique camping experience due to its vast and golden sand dunes. The isolation and tranquility of the place provide a distinct sense of escape and disconnection from the usual hustle. As we pinch our tents and set a cozy atmosphere around us, we light up a barbecue. We share stories under the stars, creating memories in the simplicity and beauty of the desert night.

Day 02: Morning in Wahiba Desert

Waking up in the Wahiba Desert is a serene and picturesque experience, especially as the sun rises over the dunes, casting golden shadows across the landscape. Early morning light creates perfect conditions for capturing stunning photos of the sand dunes, with shadows playing on the ridges.

Experience will be completed with delightful cup of coffee and breakfast, in a tranquil environment, surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the desert. Optional adventures include camel rides or off-roading on the dunes with either our cars or ATV vehicles.

Wahiba desert stands out with its unique combination of geological wonders, cultural significance, and the ability of life to adapt to its environment. This visually captivating place is a perfect start of our second day.

Wadi Bani Khalid, Oman’s Paradise

As a stunning finale of this trip, we have chosen Wadi Bani Khalid, a breathtaking oasis nestled in the heart of Oman. It is a true testament to nature’s art. Crystal-clear emerald pools surrounded by rugged canyon walls create a serene retreat, inviting travelers to soak in the postcard beauty that defines this hidden gem.

As the sun casts a warm glow over the vibrant landscapes, the wadi reveals its attraction through inviting turquoise waters, lush greenery, and secluded caves, providing a picture-perfect backdrop for moments of reflection and connection. Wadi Bani Khalid, with its serene ambiance and natural splendor, serves as the ultimate punctuation mark to our adventure—an oasis of rebirth and wonder, marked in the memories of those fortunate enough to experience its charm.
