You are invited to a week-long adventure in Oman, starting in Muscat with visits to key sights like the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Mutrah Souq. We will explore Nizwa’s historical forts and markets, followed by a scenic tour of Jebel Akhdar’s terraced fields and rose gardens. We offer snorkeling trip on Dimaniyat islands, followed by a day to relax at one of the most beautiful beach resorts in the area. After some selected hiking and caving experiences, we will conclude your trip with the stunning Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole, with desert camping, offering a perfect blend of culture, adventure, and natural beauty in Oman.

Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts (30 min)
Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts have significant historical importance as defensive structures guarding the entrance to the city’s harbor. Built during the Portuguese colonial era in the 16th century, these forts played a crucial role in protecting Muscat from the invasions.
Al Alam Palace (40 min)

08:00 AM Al Hoota Cave (1 hr)

09:20 AM Al Hamra Old Town and Bait al Safah Living Museum (1 hr)
Al Hamra is a historic village in Oman, known for its traditional mud-brick houses and narrow pathways. Within the labyrinth of old houses surrounded by an oasis, hides 400-year old mansion, turned into an authentic museum, locally known as Bait al Safah. This traditional house offers an opportunity to witness authentic Omani crafts, folklore, and see the process of making coffee, bread and date products. It’s one of the best museums for understanding the customs and traditions of the region.
10:40 AM Misfat Al Abriyeen (1.5 hr)
Misfat Al Abriyeen stands out for its distinctive charm as a traditional Omani mountain village, characterized by its ancient mud-brick buildings, labyrinthine alleys, and terraced landscapes carved into the mountain slopes, providing visitors with an authentic and culturally rich experience amidst the stunning backdrop of the Jebel Shams mountain range.
1:30 PM – 5:00 PM Jebel Shams (3-4 hrs)
Jebel Shams is the highest mountain in Oman, renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes that include the impressive Wadi Ghul, often referred to as the “Grand Canyon of Oman,” offering breathtaking vistas, rugged cliffs, and a trekking experience that combines trails with stunning natural beauty, making it a distinctive destination for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike. We can do either shorter or longer trek, depending on your fitness level.

Every Friday, there’s a vibrant and traditional livestock market where local farmers gather to buy and sell goats. The market’s lively atmosphere is filled with life as the sellers walk their goats around circular square, where buyers negotiate prices and inspect the animals.
08:00 AM Nizwa Fort (1 hr)
Nizwa Fort, a unique historic stronghold in Oman, stands as a magnificent testament to ancient architecture, offering panoramic views of the city and a glimpse into the region’s rich cultural and military heritage.
09:20 AM Birkat Al Mouz Village (1 hr)
Old village Birkat Al Mouz, surrounded by lush date plantations, provides a serene oasis where visitors can explore traditional (UNESCO listed) irrigation systems, experience the beauty of date cultivation, and immerse themselves in the cultural heritage of Oman.
11:30 AM – 4:00 PM Jebel Akhdar (4.5 hr)
Trip continues with exhilarating journey along winding roads from Wadi Al Madeen to Jabal Akhdar, reveling in the picturesque scenery. During the seasonal bloom, witness the renowned Jabal Al Akhdar roses, then hike through an old abandoned village, exploring fruit orchards, natural springs, the aflaj irrigation system, and enjoying breathtaking mountain views.

Snorkeling Trip to Dimaniyat Islands (4-5 hrs)
Dimaniyat islands marine reserve is protected area near Muscat, with clear waters providing excellent visibility, making it a popular spot for diving and snorkeling. We will explore the underwater world on a snorkeling (or dolphin-watching) trip, discovering vibrant marine life beneath clear waters. Oman’s picturesque coastline invites you to snorkel among coral reefs and later, enjoy watching playful dolphins in their natural surroundings. It’s a day of exploration, marine wildlife, and unforgettable experiences.
Mall of Oman
Optional trip: A visit to country’s largest shopping destination, Mall of Oman, we promise a unique shopping and leisure experience, seamlessly blending world-class retail options with innovative attractions, creating a diverse and immersive destination for visitors.
An alternative for the evening would be a quiet time on either Qurm or Azaiba beach, in one of the seaside cafes or Al Mouj waterfront promenade.

Wadi Shab (3 hrs)
Wadi Shab has stunning combination of turquoise pools, lush palm-filled canyons, and hidden caves, creating an oasis of natural beauty in the Omani landscape.
Qalhat (40 min)
Qalhat, Oman, is unique for its historical significance as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the ancient city’s archaeological remains and the iconic Bibi Maryam Mausoleum. The city’s strategic location along the maritime trade routes, combined with its architectural remnants, reflects Qalhat’s role as a significant trading and cultural hub in the region.
Sur (1 hr)
Sur is a coastal city of traditional maritime heritage and modern developments. The city is known for skilled craftsmen who construct traditional wooden boats, just behind a contemporary setting and vibrant markets.
Wahiba Sands
Concluding our day in the desert, we settle into a campsite between the sandy dunes, enjoying the simplicity of a quiet evening under the clear night sky.

Wahiba Sands (1 hr)
Following a night spent sleeping in the desert, waking up in the Wahiba Desert is a serene and picturesque experience, especially as the sun rises over the dunes, casting golden shadows across the landscape. Early morning light creates perfect conditions for capturing stunning photos of the sand dunes, with shadows playing on the ridges. Experience will be completed with delightful cup of coffee and breakfast, in a tranquil environment, surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the desert. Optional adventures include camel rides or off-roading on the dunes with either our cars or ATV vehicles.
Wahiba desert stands out with its unique combination of geological wonders, cultural significance, and the ability of life to adapt to its environment. This visually captivating place is a perfect start of our second day.
Wadi Bani Khalid (1 hr)
As a stunning finale of this trip, we have chosen Wadi Bani Khalid, a breathtaking oasis nestled in the heart of Oman. It is a true testament to nature’s art. Crystal-clear emerald pools surrounded by rugged canyon walls create a serene retreat, inviting travelers to soak in the postcard beauty that defines this hidden gem.
